Technical Support
As part of a small team of five students, we couldn't afford to remain confined to my comfort zone in game design. I take pride in my versatility, having contributed significantly to programming, debugging, and refining various aspects of the project. I am readily available to lend a hand wherever I am needed.
In terms of programming, I was responsible for implementing ability selection, the gameplay loop, sound, and UI. Additionally, I contributed to AI programming, focusing on player location prediction and the multi-wave squad system.
Debugging was another area where I played a critical role, particularly in addressing gameplay and AI issues, especially within the attack and ability systems. After all six abilities are integrated into the game, ensuring their seamless interaction posed numerous challenges. As these abilities were designed for both players and enemies, achieving an elegant balance was essential. Throughout the polishing process, I fine-tuned minor features independently to ensure optimal power and balance for both players and enemies.
